A Single Man

A Single Man stars Julliane Moore and Colin Firth and it is the story of and English Professor in the 60's. Colin plays a gay man that has to deal with the loss of his partner who dies in a car crash. The rest of the movie is basically him tying up all the lose ends so that he can end his life.

Now that I have said that you are probably thinking "Why should I see this movie now?" The answer is that is not all the movie is about. There of course are side plots and shake ups that keep you wanting more.

Julliane Moore is so amazing at playing a middle aged train wreck that I don't think I ever want to see her do anything else. She plays her roll in this movie perfectly and I can't imagine anyone else doing it.

On the technical side I was completely blown away by the cinematography and the score. The cinematographer was Edward Grau and the Score was done by Abel Korzeniowski. Neither have done anything else notable in this country, but I was truly amazed by both of them. Both of their performances are something to keep and eye out and an ear on when watching this film.

I watched a great deal of movies the week that I watched this one and by far it was the best film. Colin Firth was nominated for an Oscar for A Single Man and why he didn't win I have no idea.

Overall I give this one an 8
